Karlie Kloss was born in Chicago on August 3, 1992. She was discovered when walking for a charity gala in a department store. Trained in classical ballet, she signed with Elite agency in 2007. Thanks to her graceful and unique walk, she was soon noticed by Alexander McQueen, Chloé,Valentino and Victor & Rolf during her first year. In 2008, Karlie Klosswas a muse for See by Chloé and in 2009, she was signed as the new face of Lola by Marc Jacobs. That same year, she was in Dolce & Gabbana'sadvertising campaign with Caroline Trentini et Mariacarla Boscono. In 2010, her rise in the fashion industry continued when she was chosen for two major campaigns: Dior photographed by Craig McDean and Hermès,shot by Paolo Roversi. At only 17 years old, the young American walked for some of fashion's most notorious houses: Givenchy, Jean-Paul Gaultier, and Lanvin, notably for the Spring/Summer 2011 collection where she waltzed down the catwalk in a long red and flowing dress, earning her international acclaim. Karlie Kloss began appearing in many editions of Vogue, notably Vogue Paris of May 2009, shot by David Sims. Vogue Paris named her among the top 30 models of the noughties, and in 2011,Karlie Kloss appeared in her first Victoria's Secret campaign, with the infamous angels.
